About the Artist
Her lush and intimate florals are of flowers she grows in her own gardens. Despite the harsh climate of northern New England she has flowers in blossom from March through November. She grows hundreds of varieties but has a special love of tulips, iris, peonies and poppies. She has iris in bloom for many months from the tiny iris reticulata and iris christophii of early spring to the summer blooms of bearded, Louisiana, Japanese and Siberian iris. Voluptuous peonies and perennial poppies are followed by dozens of annual and Icelandic poppies.
She has photographed for over thirty years. She is represented by Green Trees Gallery in Northfield, Massachusetts and is a member of the Vermont Center of Photography in Brattleboro, Vermont and the Walpole Artisans(click links to contact these galleries). Her photographs have been exhibited in numerous galleries most recently in the Soho Photo Gallery, Mills Pond House, and the Tartantino Gallery in New York, the Silverman Arts Center in Connecticut, the Sharon Arts Center and Keene State College in New Hampshire.
